Recently I went down to the Kimmel Center to watch Cirque Du Soleil.  If you ever want to be absolutely mesmerized by a performance, this is a show I would highly recommend.  The acrobatic feats they do will leave you scratching your head in disbelief.

For those of us on a budget, there are plenty of free things to due in the city of Brotherly Love.  One great event is the Dad Vail Regatta, which takes place on the Schuykill river.  This is a major rowing event that brings people from across the country, and across world to compete in rowing.

Whatever you are into, whether its music, sports, arts, etc., finding something to do in around Philly is easy.

I am not really ashamed to tell you all that most of the novelty cufflinks that I currently have in my huge collection of different kinds of cufflinks from around the world came from Japan. No matter how much tragedy happens to our Japanese friends, I am pretty sure that they will be able to stand up from it because they are know to be the most influential and the most productive people in the world. Actually, I think that they are the best role model for anyone else who has been struck by tragedy but still manage to get back up on their feet.

He said it was because he was always picked on in computer school, that the other computers made fun of his mundane computer wall paper, but now, at his unfulfilling office job, he was inspired by his inspiring rooster wallpaper and walked out on his boss. But computer, I said, what are you going to do for money now that you are unemployed. Well, he said, I am planning on starting my own business. I love painting, he said. My father always said, no you could never be a painter, computer because your computer wall paper is that boring default setting, but now I have a mighty rooster in every square inch, and I am bold and saucy. Now I am going to paint all kinds of things, I may even paint my own computer wall paper, he said. It is amazing what can happen when you do the right thing for your appliances.

She Drove By Herself Through Philadelphia

Today my daughter drove the car by herself on the interstate for the first time. She is afraid that she will have an accident on the interstate, like the one where the mentally handicapped vehicle got hit by a truck in Philly on I95.  But she has finally realized that she is a good driver and so as long as she pays attention, she will be fine. She was happy that she was able to do it. She wants to apply for a job where she would be taking the interstate to get there and home each day.

As a parent with three kids living in Bucks County, I am sometimes too fearful about letting my kids out of my sight.  The roadways are so congested, and even driving for over 40 years myself, roadways like the Schuylkill Expressway and 95 still scare me.
