Specific Field of Marine Tasks
September 1st, 2010 by admin
Marines possess the capability to forcibly enter any territory from the air, land, and sea. All deployed Marine units have a Marine Air-Ground Task Force.
The task force is further subdivided into the ground, aviation, and logistics combat elements.
They are headed by just one fight element.
The United States Marines adhere to the doctrine that “Every Marine is a rifleman.”
They’re conservative in terms of employing new weapons, and rather rely on the skills and tactics they have acquired in fight training to achieve their missions.
Aside from being trained as riflemen, all Marines are also qualified to become infantry platoon commanders.
